After leaving Diss Sixth Form in 2012, with a qualification in Level 2 CACHE Childcare and development I got a job where I did work placement at Bunwell Bunnies Playgroup. I then left 2 1/2 years later to work at Wymondham College Nursery after gaining a Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and education, full time to gain further experience of 0-5yrs. I gained lots of knowledge of the EYFS and went on many courses to better my practice. I then became a Mum and now work at Bramble Bears Playgroup where I am Supervisor, stepping up in my career and working less hours than the nursery to spend time with my daughter. My qualifications are Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education also Lead Practitioner Safeguarding, First Aid, Step On, healthy eating, implemending GDPR, prevent, neglect training, importance of self evaluating and a behaviour management course. I will continue to better my practice to ensure all children are happy and thrive in a warm and friendly environment, also develop relationships with parents/careers and children.

After leaving school in 2005 I went onto the college of West Anglia where I completed a BTEC National Diploma in Health and Social Care, I then went onto Anglia Ruskin University to study Social Work. In 2010 I began working in a home with teenage girls aged 13-17 preparing them and helping them to move onto independent living. I moved to Norwich in 2012 and started my own family. In January 2015 I began working at Bramble Bears Playgroup as Playgroup Assistant. In 2016 I completed my Level 3 Childcare Qualification before going on maternity leave with my second child. My role at Bramble Bears include working closely with my key children to ensure they are meeting their developmental milestones following the EYFS, working closely and in partnership with parents and schools to ensure the children have a smooth transition to school following their time at Bramble Bears. I have relevant and up to date training in First Aid, Step On, SENCO and Safeguarding.

Katie Burrell
Katie is a qualified early years teacher with years of experience in schools as well as playgroups/nurseries. She provides high quality learning and is able to taylor to each child's needs and availabilities. Katie also runs a toddler group with her partner Claire on friday morning at Wreningham as families meeting and children socializing is extremely beneficial for learning and development but also for parents and families mental health to have people in the same boat to chat too and support.

Claire Rennie
Claire has qualified in Level 2 Childcare, Claire spent 10 months doing volunteering hours for her course and became a great asset to our staffing team so we took her on straight away when she passed her course. She is DBS checked and is absolutely amazing, funny and caring with all of the children. Claire also holds safeguarding and first aid qualifications.
Claire is continuing her learning and is currently completing her Level 3 whilst working, learning on the go.

Alison Girling
Alison has worked at Bramble Bears Playgroup January 2025. She has previously worked at a local playgroup to Bramble Bears who share the same learning ethos. She is NVQ Level 2 trained as well as holding first aid and safeguarding certificates. She has great understanding of the EYFS helping children to reach their milestones. She also has allocated key children who she works hard with and knows them very well paying full attention to their needs and interests. Alison loves promoting the outdoor play ethos getting al their energy out.
